Consumers come to the public library as a trusted source for reliable information regarding numerous topics including financial information. What are the financial education sources that you use as a librarian? Are they reliable sources for consumers to depend upon? In this session, you will explore financial education resources to use in the library recommended by Extension Educators from the University of Minnesota who are also Accredited Financial Counselors. This session will explore:
- Using children's books to share financial topics;
- Finding reliable adult personal finance books;
- Sharing financial and community resources with consumers; and
- Identifying opportunities to partner to provide financial workshops.
