I Don't Want to Adult Today: Children's Programs for Adults

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

More and more we are seeing adult programs that stimulate memory, overcome stress, and help with networking.  All of these programs reflect childhood in some way or another.  Storytime, coloring clubs, craft days, and even Lego clubs are just a few examples of programs.  The presenters will discuss the importance of having programs that bring proponents of childhood memories to the library and types of programs libraries can have.

Speakers
ST

Samantha TerBeest, Adult Services Librarian, Winona Public Library

Samantha has worked in Adult Services for six years; one of her favorite parts of the job is programming events. She has found that some of her crazier ideas have been some of the most successful events.
IH

Ingvild Herfindahl, Director, Dodge Center Public Library

Ingvild was a Children’s Librarian for six years before becoming Library Director. She has discovered that many of the skills she learned working with toddlers work equally well in working with adults.
