Looking Back to Move Forward: 'What I Wish I Had Learned in Library School'

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Are you a librarian just starting to move forward with your career? Or are you a veteran willing to share your hard earned "in-the-trenches" knowledge? Join us in this entertaining session as we look back at our own education and career: regrets, mistakes, and also successes. What surprised us on entering the field? What do we wish we had learned? What does the constantly evolving profession need from us? Join us as we play "Jeopardy" with our panel of experienced librarians: We will give you tricks from our toolbox to help you better serve the public, manage a successful career, and negotiate the web of relationships that working within a public system involves. We will provide time to share your own tips and techniques. Working together we can use what we've learned collectively to help our profession move towards the future.
