In 2015 and 2016, Hennepin County Library staff and partner artists designed and built a 1600-square-foot installation out of cardboard and wood for Northern Spark, a free, dusk-to-dawn, multidisciplinary arts festival in Minneapolis. Learn how The Night Library engaged thousands of participants, primarily young adults, in exploring the role of information and libraries in society through puzzles, storytelling, and theater in an immersive, interactive environment. Presenters will share details about how they developed the narrative, partnered with artists, constructed and staffed the installation, and evaluated the project.
