Heidi Johnson is a librarian at The College of St. Scholastica. She wears several hats as many librarians do at small institutions. She is the first year/information literacy librarian where she does library lectures and reference work; she also serves as the college's archivist. As such, she has received many grants to help digitize various aspects of the collection such as obsolete media formats and newspapers. This digitization of over 20,000 pages of student and college publications as well as collaborating with the college's communications department for digital photographs placed the archives in a good position to undertake an online repository effort. For fun Heidi loves to garden and drive her 1969 VW bug in the summertime and sew, make wooden toys, and nordic ski in the winter time. Her favorite author is Flannery O'Connor.
