Since 2010 Jenny McElroy has been a Reference Librarian at the Minnesota Historical Society's Gale Family Library.  In her daily job, she assists on-site and distance researchers, provides library and research instruction to library users, and works on projects designed to improve reference services.  Her Bachelor's degree in History and Political Science is from Williams College and she holds Master's degrees in library science from UNC-Chapel Hill and public history from NC State University.  Jenny is Chair of the Governing Board for Metronet and is active in the MN Library Association and the American Library Association.  She is very proud to be the MLA's sponsored participant in the ALA Emerging Leader cohort for 2016.  Her favorite thing about working with researchers everyday is seeing the "Ah ha!" moment when dots are connected and mysteries are solved.
